Free the Captives is constantly working to combat and to end human sex trafficking throughout Houston and the world. This is an uncomfortable topic – one most people would rather not discuss; as Christians we are called to fight against wickedness! The worst thing we can do is to remain silent. In the past, we have also invited their speakers to address us and to discuss how we can join their fight. On our monthly Communion Sundays, we have a special “Gold Bag†offering for this organization. Thank you for your support of this important mission!
LAST DAY TODAY: Peanut Butter and Jam 4 CAM! Each summer we collect peanut butter and jam/jelly for the Cypress Assistance Ministry’s food bank. This will help to feed needy children who may not receive free/ reduced meal when school is out; due to Covid 19, this summer there will most likely be more children to feed than in previous years. This project ends TODAY. THANK YOU for bringing jars of peanut butter and jam to our worship services. Surely feeding others is part of worshiping our Lord!
Heritage Lodge Open House TODAY
The Heritage Lodge has undergone repairs and renovations over the past few months. Painting, new carpets, new floors, new furniture and furnishings, and repairs to some damage caused by the big freeze back in February. Between 2-5 PM today, there will be an open house for all residents and friends of the Heritage (that includes us!). Refreshments and tours will be provided. All are welcome!
