Scripture – Luke 24: 13-35
Theme: Jesus surprised the two disciples when he joined them for dinner after walking to Emmaus. Jesus surprised Zacchaeus when he saw him up in a tree and invited himself to dinner that night. Jesus surprised the Apostles who were locked in a room…but somehow he appeared to them. Jesus often surprised people through the Gospels. And Jesus can surprise us today too…especially if we aren’t demanding that he act on our behalf!
