Fifth Sunday of Easter Announcements

A blue sky with the words free the captives written in black.

Free the Captives â€“ This wonderful organization is constantly working to combat and to end human sex trafficking throughout Houston and the world.  This is an uncomfortable topic and one that most people would rather not discuss; however, as Christians we are called to fight against all forms of wickedness!  The worst thing we can do is to remain silent. In the past, we have invited their speakers to address us and to discuss how we can join their fight.  On our monthly Communion Sundays, we have a special “Gold Bag†offering for this organization. If you wish to give and support this most worthy organization, please put your offering in the gold bags that are on each table in the ballroom.  If you wish to write a check, please make it out to the church and write Free the Captives on the memo line.  Thank you so much!

Last Sunday’s tithes and offerings = $470.00

Thank you for your generosity!

As everyone should know, we are currently under contract to sell our church property on Greenhouse Road. This contract began on Monday, April 5th and has a 40-day inspection period; this means we could possibly close sometime during May.  This would give us in excess of $1.3 million dollars to acquire a new church home somewhere else.

A church with a cross on top of it.

Instead of just waiting for this transaction to occur, we engaged the services of a profession commercial real estate broker who is actively searching land and buildings for our future church home.  This good man has acquired property for multiple pastors and churches in the greater Houston area.  We think he will do a good job for us too.

Please PLEASE keep our church and our future ideas in your most fervent prayer.  Without God’s support, nothing we are planning will come to proper fruition!
