Each year we purchase Christmas poinsettias from Brookwood to enhance our worship space in the Lodge’s Ballroom. We will NOT be using order forms this year, but you may still order one of these beautiful plants. They are $8.00 each.  Payment can be placed in the offering box on Sundays OR you may mail a check to the church office. If you pay on-line, please send Pastor Mark an email so that the funds will be distributed accurately. After our Christmas Eve service, please retrieve your plant and take it home.  Check with Elder Carol Beverlin or Pastor Mark if you have questions.
Our Christmas Jar mission project totaled $575.00These funds and gift cards will be given to four needy families at Postma Elementary School.  Blessings to all of you for your generous spirits!
Coming on Sunday, December 20th: The Christmas Joy Gift
This offering is traditionally collected by Heritage near the end of the Advent season.  A gift to the Christmas Joy Offering helps provide financial assistance to current and former church workers and their families and also enables deserving students to attend Presbyterian-related racial ethnic colleges and schools.
December 8th deposit was $8651from our tithes and offerings. Remember you can also give on-line. Check with your bank or on the GIVING section of our church webpage.
And don’t forget that if you shop on Amazon, use their parallel website AmazonSmile.  A portion of the sale will be donated to our church. When you access this website for the first time, you will be prompted to identify our church at the end of your transaction.  It is an easy way to donate to HPC – and it won’t cost you anything extra.
This is especially convenient while Christmas shopping!
December 6th Worship attendance: 59* people
(In-person & via Zoom combined)
*This includes at least 4 guests from New Hope Presbyterian Church in Katy.  Their pastor, his mother-in-law, and one daughter are all sick with Covid.  The rest of his household is Covid positive, but have no symptoms yet.  Worship is temporarily suspended because of this.  So Pastor Mark and Pastor Brian, who have been friends since seminary, spoke on the phone and arranged for them to join us via Zoom.  We welcome our neighbors from New Hope, and we join you in praying for your pastor’s speedy recovery!
