Scripture – Matthew 5: 33-37
Theme: Jesus tells us that we should honor any vows that we make. He tells us to let our ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes’ and our ‘No’ be ‘No.” Seems pretty straightforward. The vows taken when joining our church include “supporting the work and worship of our church to the best of your ability.” During this Covid-19 pandemic, perhaps it is difficult to fully honor this vow. But we don’t get to set it aside…just like we don’t get to set aside any other vow we make.
