Scripture: Acts 7: 55-60
Theme: When Stephen faced the Sanhedrin in Jerusalem, he was filled with the Holy Spirit and preached about Jesus. When he refused to stop, he was stoned to death for blasphemy. Stephen became the first Christian martyr, although there were thousands more to follow. It reminds us all that many died for the faith we take for granted every day.
