Theme: Possibly lost in the mix of four worship services in the eight days of Holy is the meaning of the word, “Maundy.” This word is part of the title of the night that Jesus had the Last Supper with his disciples. At that meal, he gave them a new COMMANDMENT: “Love one another as I have loved you.” This took on the same significance as the original Ten Commandments from the Old Testament. “Maundy” comes from a Latin word for “commandment.”
