Scripture – 2nd Samuel 7: 1-11
Theme: King David was POSITIVE that building a new temple for the Ark of the Covenant would please the Lord. His friend and prophet, Nathan, told him to go ahead with his plans. All seemed good. But then the Lord came to Nathan and told him to tell David NOT to do it.
Sometimes even our terrific plans are not what the Lord wants!
