A blue christmas is here hope

For some folks, the approaching holiday season does not bring joyful times or good experiences.  For some, the holidays are a reminder of loss and a time of loneliness.  We recognize this and hope to stand with all our friends during this time.

If you might be in need of some extra comfort, join us for our Blue Christmas service, December 18th at 7:00 PM.

During this service, we will have some quiet time for prayer and meditation, as well as some opportunities to sit and talk with our Deacons and our Pastor.

Please join us and bring a special friend who might also need something a time like this.

Postma Christmas Jars – Sunday, December 4

A candle with a wreath on it

It’s time! Christmas is coming, and for Heritage, early December means the culmination of our annual Christmas Jar effort. Some of us have been saving money in a Mason jar since the summer, and others may opt to make a one-time gift to support our friends at Postma. Either way, there are families in need whose Christmas will be a little brighter because of our efforts. This year we’re supporting five families at Postma, with a total of 14 children ranging in age from kindergarten to fifth grade. These boys and girls are eagerly awaiting Christmas and hoping that a visit from Santa might bring things like a bike, toy cars, dolls, stuffed animals, a skateboard, board games, clothes, and other typical “wish list†items. For the families of these children, though, making ends meet even on a day-to-day basis can be tough–not to mention trying to provide a little something extra at Christmastime.

Two of the families are homeless. One consists of a little girl who is being raised by her grandmother because her parents abandoned her. Our gifts can make a big difference to all five of these Postma families.

Please bring or send your Postma Christmas Jar gift—whether you’ve been saving for months or want to make a one-time gift—to church or to the church office by Sunday, December 4. We will use the money collected to purchase Walmart gift cards for the families.

Together, we can share Christ’s love with these families, our brothers and sisters in need.
